Customer Order Processor

Salary £25,000 per annum cira (West Bromwich)

Our client operates in the automotive, acoustic, audio and construction markets. They have an established customer base, exporting goods all around the world.

What we need from you as a Customer Order Processor:

  • 2 years minimum experience in a similar office-based role in Customer Service
  • Knowledge of steel industry preferred, but not essential
  • Reliable, dependable, trustworthy, flexible, and committed
  • Good product and manufacturing knowledge would be of benefit
  • I.T. proficient
  • Excellent communication skills / Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to cope with pressure
  • Thorough; with an eye for detail
  • Able to time manage, work independently and part of a team

 

This role will involve reporting to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities and Tasks include:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and owning or directing accordingly
  • Liaison with internal and external customers, including sales colleagues, to manage expectations and provide an initial point of contact
  • Raise sales orders, schedule, and liaise with internal colleagues to plan accordingly
  • Raise purchase orders for materials/third party sub-contractors, e.g., Powder coating/Anodising etc.
  • Organising transport
  • Attending daily production meetings to ascertain current production lead times and responding to any potential problems
  • Involvement in stock and goods in/out
  • Take ownership of service-related issues following provision of products to customers, collating information to determine root cause of issue and varying solutions
  • Follow procedures relating to quality management and own to ensure satisfactory outcome in a timely manner

 

Salary/package: circa £25,000 per year, depending on experience. Working Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 3.45pm. Pension scheme.

Holiday: 21 days, plus Bank Holidays increasing to 25 plus Bank Holidays after 12 months.
