Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Salary Starting from £30,000 per year, negotiable, depending on experience. (Bideford, Devon)

What we need from you as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- You will have a least 5 years of experience working within an engineering role or hold the relevant qualifications
- Demonstratable experience in fault finding and diagnosis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- A learning and development mindset
- Excellent time-keeping attitude and flexible attitude to work

What the role involves:
You will ensure the smooth running of all plant and production machinery. Duties to include:
- Ensure smooth running of the plant and all production machinery
- Respond to breakdowns, resolving mechanical problems quickly to ensure minimum downtime
- Focus on energy savings and waste reduction when undertaking responsibilities
- Continuously demonstrate an ability to carry out fault-finding diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
- Repair pneumatics & hydraulics
- Undertake reactive maintenance activities as required
- Produce reports and handle required documents
- Accountable for planned and preventative maintenance to ensure production machinery is always optimised
- Handling service and maintenance of systems and machinery
- Running and supporting continuous improvement projects as required
- Support the installation of new machines
- Liaise and communicate effectively with all levels of team members within the business
- Undertake internal/external training and development
- Ensure effective communication within the engineering team and handovers are completed daily with all necessary information shared
- Ensuring the best and most cost-effective methods are adapted to all tasks and that the factory is maintained in a safe working condition
- Ensure the work area is maintained in a clean, tidy, and safe condition
Salary: Starting from £30,000 per year, negotiable, depending on experience.
Hours: This a Day shift role working 7.45am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am – 12noon on Fridays (39-hour working week).
Or; Shift work: 6am - 2pm Monday – Friday and 2pm – 10.30pm Monday – Thursday and 2pm – 8pm Friday (37.5 hour working week week).
